With the recent water restrictions for Victorian residents and businesses the Victorian State Government has started with the implementation of rebates for swimming pool solar covers.
A solar cover is able to limit substantially the evaporation of water, and the need for using excess amounts of chlorine. By virtue of this it is easier to maintain water clarity and balance, while at the same time raising the temperature of the water. A quality solar cover is also able to extend your swimming season considerably.
An extract of the media release:
“A rebate of $200 has also been introduced for the first time on the cost of pool covers.
As we plan for a future with more people and climate change, we need to identify solutions for using and managing the water we have.
“We need to be smarter with the use of our water in our cities and towns to make the most of every drop in our homes and gardens,” Mr Walsh said
