I recently had a call from a customer who had purchased a salt cell from us aproxximately 12 months ago, the customer wanted to know how to go about getting the cell replaced under warranty, as he said that the cell had died I asked the customer how did he know it was the cell that had died, and he said that he had been watching the output dial on the chlorinator for a couple of weeks and had noticed that it was slowly going down to the zero mark.
He then took a water sample to his local pool shop and had the sample tested. the pool shop told him that there was no free chlorine in the pool water and that his cell had died. I then explained to the customer that these cells generally last up to 3 to 4 years and he agreed with me as that was how long his previous cell had lasted I also explained to the customer that low or no chlorine production from a chlorinator can be due to a number of reasons from a fault in the power supply control box to a fault in the lead or connections or in the salt cell itself. I then told the customer about our newly developed saltwater chlorinator repair quote system where for a cost of ten dollars the customer could send the chlorinator and cell to us here at Bulleen and we would have the unit examined and assessed for faults and provide a comprehensive quote for repairs once we had determined what the issue was then the customer would be able to make an informed decision whether to have the chlorinator repaired if indeed it was found to be faulty or if a repair was not economically viable
then he would be able to trade in the old chlorinator on purchase of a new system.
At the end of the day the customer would either have a properly repaired chlorinator returned to him or a completely new system The customer was pretty unpressed with the idea and since then has used the saltwater chlorinator repair system to send us his unit for assessment here is a link to our new saltwater chlorinator repair page for you folks to have a look at: http://www.epools.com.au/salt-chlorinators-and-parts-salt-chlorinator-repairs-c-739_1092/saltwater-chlorinator-repairs-p-7128.html
